Surf historian, writer, avid surf memorabilia collector and surf enthusiast Mark Fragale, long-time resident of Oahu, Hawaii, and native Long Islander, also referred to as Chairman Of the Board but known as “Welby” to his close friends, fields historical surf questions spanning from post WWII through, but not including, the Simon Anderson Thruster line of demarcation (up to 1980).

Mark lives in Kailua, Hawaii, with his wife Cindy. He has two children, Matthew and Wendy, who are both surfers.
